Since we were wee years old, it was indoctrinated in us what a great nation we belong to, what great ideals lead to its formation, what sacrifices were rendered to make it happen. This begining does fill me with pride, for the strength and resilience of the people that brought about something from virtually nothing. Saving that begining there is little else that we can actually look at and be proud of, and NO, no matter how big a military and strategic milestone was achieved by Pakistan going Nuclear, I refuse to accept that the biggest achievement  we have as a nation is a way to kill more efficiently and on a larger scale. In more than 60 years of our existence precious little has happened that would that ease the pain and suffering of the common man. There are countless elements within and out of our country trying to bring us down, but none more than our own mentality. We blame others but never ourselves, inaction is our default state. We say its a miracle that we have survived, till when are we going to bank on this miracle? what if our luck runs out? We complain ALOT, and do much less. Too much of the time we are stuck in reminiscening our past glory and greivances, its time start living in now, and rise agaisnt our own inaction. Our politicians are incompetent retards, and if a decent man is able to rise up from amongst them it would be a miracle indeed. Responsibility of our nation is ours and ours alone.  I am proud of being a Pakistani, because it is mine, it is my home and my identity, I don't have to tap into some ideology to feel that love.
